Prior to moving to Bakersfield, Dr. Wahba obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and
graduated Summa Cum Laude with College Honors. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)
School of Medicine, which is consistently ranked as one of the top medical schools in the country. Dr. Wahba graduated from UCSF at the
top of his class, as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. He completed a 5-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery
at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). At that point, Dr. Wahba decided to expand his expertise by completing a prestigious fellowship
in Spine Surgery from Harvard Medical School. During that time, he trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Women's
Hospital in Boston, two of the most renowned medical centers in the world.
Dr. Wahba specializes in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgery. He has expertise in treating spinal degenerative disease, spinal
deformity/scoliosis, spinal trauma, spinal tumors, and revision surgeries. This includes the use of spinal instrumentation, as well as
minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Wahba also has an extensive background in research over the past 15 years. He has given
presentations to other surgeons at national meetings, and has earned awards for his work. Dr. Wahba is now dedicated to providing
world-class care to Bakersfield and surrounding communities.
